Houxian® EP420-Waterborne epoxy emulsion

Product introduction:

Houxian® EP420 is a non-ionic aqueous dispersion of a modified solid bisphenol A epoxy resin with a solids content of 53%. This resin has a low solvent content (acetone and propylene glycol methyl ether), resulting in waterborne coatings with the superior performance of traditional epoxy coatings with lower VOCs and lower harmful air pollutants. Houxian® EP 306 resin has good compatibility with many water-reducible amine hardeners, but works best with Houxian® GZ 05 hardener.

Product properties:

• Appearance: Milky white liquid

• Solid content/wt%: 53±1

• Viscosity (cps, 25℃, 3# rotor, 6 rpm): 1000-6000

• pH: 6-8

• Epoxy equivalent (g/eq, delivery form): 1050±60

• Ionicity: non-ionic

Application Features:

1. The drying speed is faster than that of EP305, and the hardness rises faster, finally reaching above H

2. Wet spray wet coating, excellent corrosion resistance and water resistance

Application range:

Large steel structure, construction machinery

Instructions for use:

• Two-component epoxy coating with amine curing agent

• Application: air spray, roller coating, high pressure airless spray

• Drying method: baking at room temperature or low temperature

Precautions:

• The storage temperature should be 5-35℃, and it should be stored in a ventilated and dry warehouse to prevent freezing and sun exposure;

• Please stir well before use, keep tightly closed after use, do not mix with cationic substances and inks;

• The effective storage period is half a year from the date of packaging.
